Another exciting nitro buggy racing day with my TEKNO NB48 2.1 to win TQ A1 in the event of the VP-PRO nitro buggy point series round 3. This is also the final round to conclude the overall points series race. With all 3 rounds finished in TQA1, I successfully won the overall point series Championship!
My buggy is powered by ALPHA DRAGON V engine + 2159 manifold. This is also my debut race with FLYSKY Noble PRO radio and POWERHD GTS series servos.
This was a very hot day with a temperature of 34 °C; it was a real test for the equipment and driver. My first qualifying round did not go as well as expected due to the high traction gained compared with the early morning test drive. This cost me some traction rolls in this round, and I finished in 2nd by 0.8 seconds.
With help from my dad Carson, we worked together to tune my car to solve this problem, and we did great in Q2 and made 19 laps in 10min 10sec best round result.
In Q3, I did not finish this round due to one of the bearings in the diff locking up. Anyway, my first 2 rounds of qualifying results helped me win the overall TQ.
In the 60-minute A-Main final, I took the lead from start to finish. The competition is strong, and we are happy to see the progress of the racers! Congratulations to all podium finishers!
